LCT - Device Events

The Device Events page offers a comprehensive view of all events related to all the devices. It allows to track, review, and analyze different event types, helping to stay updated on device status and overall performance.

Every event is generated by each Transmission Interval (previously talked about Configuration> LCT Transmission Interval)

Steps to Access to Device Eventrs Page

  1. Navigate to the Device Dashboard: Open the Cockpit Menu, go to the Devices section.

  2. Open the Device Page.

  3. Go to the Events Section:

    - This page contains device cards and a list of all the events associated with the specific LM device. The cards contain essential device information:

    • Device name

    • Device series number.

    • The latest communication time,

    • Update interval,

    • Device’s level battery

    • The updated Position

    • The unique identification number for the SIM card.

Steps to Set Up Device Events

  1. Select Event

    • Position Updated: Tracks when the device successfully updates its GPS or location data.

    • Position Updated Event: Logs the occurrence of a successful position update.

    • Tracker Event: Monitors specific activities or triggers related to a tracking device.

    • Level Meter Event: Detects changes in the liquid or material level measured by a level meter sensor.

  2. Event Type

    • Scheduled: Executes an action or event based on a predefined time schedule.

    • Minimum Temperature Exceeded: Alerts when the temperature falls below a pre-set minimum threshold.

    • Maximum Temperature Exceeded: Alerts when the temperature rises above a pre-set maximum threshold.

    • Motion Start: Detects and logs the initiation of movement by the device.

    • Motion Stop: Detects and logs when the device comes to a stop after motion.

    • Free Fall: Triggers when the device experiences a sudden drop or fall.

    • Tamper: Alerts if the device is tampered with or physically interfered with.

    • Level Meter Threshold: Activates when the measured level crosses a specific threshold.

    • Level Meter Upside Down: Notifies if the level meter sensor is inverted.

    • Position Updated Failed: Logs an error or failure when attempting to update the device’s position.

  3. Radio Type

    • All: Select all the voices.

    • NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things): A low-power wide-area technology designed for IoT devices that need to transmit small amounts of data over long distances.

    • LTEM (Long Term Evolution for Machines): A technology based on 4G LTE, offering higher data rates and mobility support compared to NB-IoT.

    • 2G (Second Generation Cellular Network): Used in legacy IoT applications, such as basic trackers and devices deployed in areas where newer network technologies are unavailable.

  4. Click "Apply" to save all the changes.
